Would you rather be treated like a number at a fast food restaurant or like a family member? It's a simple question and answer.
Whenever you talk to big companies you may never get to talk to the same person twice. You never get to develope that relationship. When you make these connections with them you are more likely to get exceptions or longer grace periods on payments, etc.
Big companies also have big expenses. They pour money into tv, radio, internet, yellowpages, stadium sponsorship, etc. Then they also have corporate jets and lobbyist money, as well as having to pay out large sums for lawsuits. We don't spend money on any of those things. All our business is generated by word of mouth referrals because people want to share news of our great service and rates.
